Excellence in Governance - 2023

The Brighter Horizon Foundation president brings a strong background in leadership, including her previous role as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Independence Blue Cross, to her position on the New York-based startup’s board. She has counseled senior management on critical strategic issues and offered guidance on refining Cityblock’s core mission, focusing on growth efforts that align with the company’s financial and care models, and advancing talent development. She has also made diversity, equity and inclusion a major priority: As chair of the board’s compensation committee, she oversees regular reporting on demographic information to ensure the company is living up to its DEI standards. Under her leadership, Cityblock also issued its first equity report.
