Through DeVolld’s 20 years on Renown’s board, the current chair has helped grow the northern Nevada integrated health system into four hospital campuses, numerous primary-, urgent- and specialty-care sites, more than 7,000 employees and a health plan that serves over 180,000 members. He was instrumental in the launch of Renown’s 2021 strategic plan, which included creating the Healthy Nevada Project, one of the fastest-enrolling genetic studies in the country with over 50,000 participants. DeVolld, who is managing director of commercial banking at First Independent Bank, also championed cost reduction initiatives through value-based care models. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he supported decisions to increase paid time off for employees and other well-being initiatives. And under his leadership in environmental sustainability, Renown has announced close to $500 million in planned investments to improve and expand facilities across the system.
