Sutaria has headed the Dallas-based healthcare services company since 2021. Under his leadership, Tenet struck an agreement with technology company Commure to deploy an ambient artificial intelligence platform systemwide. The tools are geared toward making workflows and documentation more seamless, potentially enabling clinicians to spend more time with their patients. The for-profit company operates 52 acute-care and specialty hospitals and over 100 other outpatient facilities; operates or has invested in more than 640 ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals; and owns revenue cycle management company Conifer Health Solutions. Its expansion efforts continued into 2024, with nearly $450 million invested into 45 new ambulatory facilities in the first quarter as well as plans to keep funding hospitals with specialized care services. Before joining Tenet in 2019, Sutaria served as a director at McKinsey & Co. for nearly 20 years.
