Diversity Leaders in Healthcare - 2024

Briggs-Malonson, who also serves as an associate professor of emergency medicine at UCLA’s medical school, has overseen and implemented several programs that promote inclusivity and equity among staff, patients and communities across the UCLA Health system. These initiatives include redesigning the electronic health record system to address inequities; creating a committee to benefit the LGBTQ+ community; and launching a collaborative that provides primary, preventive, urgent and psychiatric care and social service referrals to unhoused people via mobile vans.
