Cagle has served as Greensboro, North Carolina-headquartered Cone Health’s first woman CEO since 2021. In fiscal 2024, Cone under her leadership exceeded several key performance goals, including an operating margin above 5% and a low inpatient mortality rate, according to the organization. Additionally, Cone recorded a 75.2% hypertension control rate among Black adult patients younger than 66. Cagle also established the Cone Health Center for Value-Based Care. With an eye to the future, Cagle has spearheaded Cone’s integration into Risant Health, which closed its acquisition of Cone in December.
