Dr. Lynn Simon
President of healthcare innovation and chief medical officer, Community Health Systems
Simon, a neurologist, is responsible for identifying and implementing technologies that improve care delivery, outcomes and patient experiences at the Franklin, Tennessee-based system, which includes 71 hospitals in 15 states. In 2023, she advanced CHS’ adoption of remote patient monitoring for patients with hypertension, congestive heart failure and other chronic conditions. The program, which has served more than 9,000 patients, has shown improved clinical outcomes and is expected to double in size in 2024. Simon is leading the system’s adoption of artificial intelligence-enabled maternal fetal monitoring, which is improving time-to-intervention at all CHS hospitals with obstetrical services. She’s also overseeing integration of virtual behavioral health services into primary care.
