Azar has focused on care improvement since joining Hackensack Meridian in 2022. He is a co-creator of the Agile Transformation Model, an approach to change management and performance improvement in healthcare that incorporates concepts from behavior economics theory, complex adaptive system theory and network science to optimize care outcomes and system operations. In addition to implementing the methodology across Hackensack Meridian, he is leading adoption of the Quality Improvement Program-New Jersey, a statewide hospital performance initiative to improve services in maternal health and behavioral health.
