Diversity Leaders in Healthcare - 2024

Rich brings more than two decades of experience in public health to his role as the inaugural director of the Rush BMO Institute for Health Equity. The health system aims to shrink the life expectancy gap between Chicago’s downtown and its West Side neighborhoods in the next six years. To that end, Rich spearheaded the rollout of a tool documenting steps taken toward lessening racial disparities. He also led a partnership earlier this year with Rush's emergency department exploring the usage of data analysis and modeling through a health equity lens.
