After serving for nearly six years as chief executive of Geisinger, a 10-hospital integrated health system based in Pennsylvania, Ryu recently became CEO of Risant Health. Risant, a nonprofit national network for value-based care, was announced last year by Geisinger and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. It officially launched in April with the acquisition of Geisinger. Risant expects to add up to five other community-based health systems over the next several years. Among numerous initiatives at Geisinger, Ryu helped roll out an at-home care program and concierge health centers targeted to seniors.
