Williams spearheads clinical strategy at the Dayton, Ohio-headquartered nonprofit managed care organization serving more than 2 million members. He and his team have worked to address maternal mortality through a care management program, which uses a population health approach to identify members early in pregnancy, calculate risk and address their needs through the first year after delivery. He also partnered with two major health systems to shorten prior authorization response turnaround times and reduce administrative burdens. Before his role at CareSource, Williams served as regional chief medical officer for Optum’s enterprise clinical services.
