Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s pediatric network includes two hospitals, an advanced pediatric care center, a rehabilitation facility and dozens of other locations.
Leaders have:
- Supported the development of “frontier programs” — of which there are 27, with more added each year — which focus on treatments aimed at conditions such as epilepsy and sickle cell disease.
- Furthered pediatric medical advancements such as cell and gene therapies for cancer, congenital blindness and hearing loss and other conditions.
- Supported the creation of an Innovation Catalyst Program focused on retooling existing systems, such as subspecialty expertise access and patient transport.
- Invested more than $120 million annually in research, employing more than 1,000 principal investigators and dedicating almost 640,000 square feet toward research space.
