Harrison is leading the implementation of a new digital operating model at Jacksonville, Florida-based GuideWell, the parent company of Florida Blue and other insurance companies in Florida and Puerto Rico. GuideWell is using artificial intelligence-enabled technology to proactively provide employees with relevant information, including member sentiment and recent claims, in a customer service setting. The company is also using AI to assist with approvals for high-volume prior authorization requests such as those for imaging. Harrison is among the leaders of GuideWell’s Equity Alliance. First announced in 2020, the initiative focuses on systemic racism and unequal health outcomes among Black Americans.
