Gardenhire’s work at Ardent helps position her as a leader who provides mentorship opportunities and acts an example for others to build diversity within their departments. A registered nurse and former bedside caregiver, she is responsible for developing Ardent’s digital strategy to foster operational growth. In addition, she oversees the Brentwood, Tennessee-based organization’s information technology infrastructure, systems and data strategy and teamed with regional leaders to roll out digital initiatives. She has been vocal about the need to address bias in technology and improve diversity in governance, among other issues.
