Women Leaders in Healthcare - 2024

Taveras, who holds several academic roles along with directing the Kraft Center for Community Health at Massachusetts General Hospital, leads Mass General’s United Against Racism initiative. As of early 2024, the initiative had increased access to substance use disorder treatment and facilitated more than 6,000 visits to patients via community care vans. In addition, under Taveras’ leadership, the Driving Equity and Maternal Health project is expanding access to doulas, lactation consultants and midwives for eligible pregnant individuals.
