CommonSpirit Health operates a network of 142 hospitals and about 2,200 other care sites in 24 states.

Under board and executive leadership, CommonSpirit Health has:

• Partnered with the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science to expand access to quality education and training for underrepresented nurses of color.
• Partnered with Morehouse School of Medicine through a 10-year, $100 million initiative to help address the urgent need to diversify the healthcare workforce.
• Launched the Lloyd H. Dean Institute for HumanKindness & Health Justice, which focuses on how kindness in health settings can improve outcomes and build healthier communities. 
• Created the Homeless Health Initiative, working to co-locate, coordinate and integrate healthcare, behavioral health, safety and wellness services with housing and other social services.
