Fleischut’s work runs the gamut, from leading the implementation of a single electronic health record system across 10 hospitals and two medical schools; to overseeing 1,000-plus employees as they seek to streamline processes; to expanding the health system’s telehealth offerings. Under his advancements, 870 providers across 80 specialties have been trained on telehealth utilization, and telehealth now makes up 30% of the health system’s business—up from just 2% in 2019. In addition, home-based remote monitoring of blood flow pressure, pulse oxygen, and medication management has become a regular option for patients who undergo surgery at an NYP hospital.
