Walker is advancing the integrated pediatric health system’s aim to redefine children’s health by looking beyond medical treatments and improving outcomes through engagement with multiple stakeholders. As leader of the value-based services organization, she is leveraging the system’s model investment and data capabilities to generate holistic health strategies. For example, through one collaborative project, school attendance data is shared with primary care providers to help determine the cause of chronic absenteeism, such as illness or social factors. In her three years since joining the system, Walker also spearheaded the creation of the Whole Child Health Alliance and the Ginsburg Institute for Health Equity to continue the transformation of children’s healthcare.
