After becoming manager of information technology in 2020, Peleg has leveraged tools at the Morristown, New Jersey-based health system to support caregivers in providing the best possible patient services. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, her team collaborated with nursing leaders to create a portal giving nurses the ability to quickly and accurately complete documentation within the electronic health record for a given shift. Given the burnout facing clinicians, Peleg also formed an interdisciplinary workgroup to find more meaningful ways to document clinical care.
