Vaughn, who is also an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the program director for the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at Montefiore Health System, built a reproductive psychiatry program in the Bronx to serve patients during and after pregnancy. By providing targeted assessments and treatments, Vaughn is helping to fight the maternal mortality and morbidity crisis in underserved communities. Her team has forged partnerships with local OB-GYNs and other providers to make sure vulnerable populations are getting the care they need.
