Ernst has worked to ensure that group practices have a voice in Washington, D.C. In response to projected reductions in Medicare reimbursement rates, Ernst and her team conducted a survey of more than 500 medical groups to determine the potential impact on practices across the country. They shared the state-by-state results with legislators on Capitol Hill in an effort to help policymakers understand the effect of such cuts on constituents. She has also used her position to push for telehealth coverage.
