Nava, a research scientist at NCQA since 2022, is working to increase Latino caregivers’ power to influence health policy. As president of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses professional organization, Nava is striving to create pathways to leadership and promote access to care for vulnerable groups. She spearheaded the first Hispanic Health Policy Summit in February 2023, an event designed to build relationships between healthcare providers and Congress. She has been invited to serve on several national-level committees and workgroups, including roundtables at the White House.
