Peralta assumed her post after her former company, Cricket Health, merged with Interwell Health in 2022. She is helping to develop the company’s health equity strategy and refine its value-based model of care to better support people with kidney disease. Peralta co-founded and served as the executive director of the multidisciplinary Kidney Health Research Collaborative, composed of scientists working to improve kidney health worldwide. Earlier in her career, the Association of American Medical Colleges recognized Peralta for her work to promote understanding of racial and ethnic differences in kidney disease detection, progression and complications.
