Charniece Tisdale
Senior director of diversity, equity and inclusion, Oak Street Health
Tisdale’s Oak Street Health team works to ensure that all employment processes and policies reflect diversity, equity and inclusion best practices. Tisdale last year launched Oak Street’s first company-wide self-identification campaign, in which teammates can add new personal information, such as disability status and gender identity, to their employee profiles. This gives the company a better understanding of employee identities, which supports decision-making about policies and programming. Tisdale has also partnered with Oak Street’s population health team to increase awareness of the importance of capturing patient race, ethnicity and language data to support the delivery of culturally competent care.
