Top Diversity Leaders in Healthcare - 2023

Hayes joined Point32Health in 2021, shortly after it was formed through the merger of Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. His top goals include cultivating a more inclusive workforce to mirror Point32Health’s communities served; nearly 40% of the company’s staff are Black, Hispanic or Latino, Asian or Indigenous. Point32Health recently launched Cultural Social Hours to foster connections and learning among colleagues and from keynote speakers. Through the company’s Corporate Health Equity Program, Hayes has supported initiatives to target disparities in pregnancy and postpartum care, rural care, LGBTQ care and behavioral care. He also chairs the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans.
