Robert Meyer
President and CEO, Phoenix Children's Hospital
Meyer joined Phoenix Children’s Hospital in 2003 after he was recruited as a consultant to enact a financial and operational turnaround at the organization. In the past two decades, he has overseen growth in capacity, service area and capabilities, positioning Phoenix Children’s to be among the nation’s largest pediatric health systems by 2024. A new Phoenix Children’s facility opened in Avondale this year, with two more in the works. Phoenix Children’s campus in Thomas will also see expansion, with the organization announcing the construction of a 44,000-square-foot neonatal intensive care unit and the addition of 97 beds. The health system also collaborated this year with the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix to create an institute aimed at accelerating research programs.
