Arduini leads GE HealthCare, an $18.3 billion company that spun off from parent GE in January with operations in more than 160 countries. He has spoken about artificial intelligence’s potential to revolutionize the healthcare system. As of October, the company had received Food and Drug Administration clearance or authorization for 58 AI-enabled medical devices, including technology related to MRI scans, CT scans and cardiac ultrasound imaging. Announced acquisitions this year include Caption Health, an AI company that helps with the conduction of ultrasound scans to aid in early disease detection, and Imactis, a CT interventional guidance company. Arduini is on the board of directors of the Advanced Medical Technology Association.
