Lateef was appointed president of the Chicago-based system comprising three hospitals and a university in 2021. He added the CEO title in 2022. He also continues as president and CEO of the flagship Rush University Medical Center, a position he assumed in 2019. Earlier this year, Rush and CVS Health teamed to participate in Medicare’s ACO Realizing Equity, Access and Community Health, or ACO REACH, program together. In August, the RUSH BMO Institute for Health Equity announced an initiative to improve cardiovascular disease outcomes on Chicago’s West Side. The multifaceted approach is designed to narrow disparities by the year 2030 by overcoming barriers to care. Lateef previously served as chief medical officer for RUMC. He is a member of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association Board of Trustees.
