Nevin has helmed the three-hospital system that serves northern Delaware and the surrounding area since 2014. She has described herself as optimistic about the healthcare industry, while acknowledging the challenges the sector has faced. In March, the system announced plans to reopen a neighborhood hospital, closed since 2021, in a southern Pennsylvania community. Also new this year: ChristianaCare’s Virtual Primary Care, which offers an ongoing relationship with a primary care team via technology. Nevin, who joined ChristianaCare in 2002 as chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President’s Advisory Committee and of the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees.
