Jones, who has run the five-hospital organization since 2018, is working to transform Inova into an integrated health system. In 2023, the system opened northern Virginia’s first specialty hospital for critically ill patients who no longer need acute care; received approval to build a new replacement hospital slated to open in Fairfax County in 2028; and added capacity to become one of the largest providers of inpatient behavioral health services in the region. Jones, a urologist, previously was president of Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers.
