Boudreaux has been president and CEO of Elevance Health since 2017. The company, which operates Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in 14 states, is also the parent company of the healthcare services brand Carelon and the health plan brand Wellpoint. It has made moves under Boudreaux to widen its footprint: Elevance announced in January its plans to acquire Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana for $2.5 billion. Despite regulatory delays, Blue Cross Louisiana said in September the companies remain committed to the transaction.
