White develops and implements the nursing policies, protocols, strategic planning and operational standards for the 21-hospital Northwell Health. She also directs the Northwell Institute for Nursing, responsible for nursing education, research and leadership development. Northwell Health reported a 13% nursing turnover rate in 2022, compared with the national average of 23%, which White has attributed to the system’s support for clinicians, innovative recruitment strategies and robust pipeline. White previously was vice president for patient care services at North Shore University Hospital and LIJ Medical Center.
