Sutaria joined Tenet in 2019 as president and chief operating officer and moved to the CEO position in 2021. Tenet is the parent company of ambulatory platform United Surgical Partners International and revenue cycle management and value-based care company Conifer Health Solutions. It also operates 61 hospitals; about 110 other outpatient facilities; a physician network; and a global business center in Manila, Philippines. Sutaria has expressed confidence in continuing to expand ambulatory care, with Tenet saying this year it plans to invest about $250 million in the segment annually.
