Hochman has led Providence, a 51-hospital system operating in seven states, since 2013. Under his leadership, the organization moved to diversify its revenue streams by starting and investing in businesses such as Tegria, a healthcare consulting and technology services company, and Advata, which provides revenue cycle management software. Providence was also among the first health systems to consolidate its executive team in light of growing macroeconomic headwinds last year. Hochman is a past board chair of the American Hospital Association and the Catholic Health Association of the United States.
