Dr. Richard Isaacs

Isaacs, a longtime Kaiser Permanente leader, started his new academic position in June. As head of two Permanente medical groups, Isaacs was responsible for more than 50,000 clinicians serving millions of patients in three states and Washington, D.C. Innovations during his leadership include Get Care Now, an online tool launched in 2021 allowing patients to more conveniently address their health needs. He also served as co-CEO of the Permanente Federation. Isaacs was formerly physician-in-chief for the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center, the system’s first Level 2 trauma center.
