Since 2018, Ryu has been spearheading Geisinger’s efforts to manage total health and move care closer to home. He’s poised to take the reins of Risant Health, a national network for value-based care announced this year by Geisinger and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. Risant plans to acquire Geisinger as the first of several health systems it aims to buy over the next five years. If regulators approve the deal, Ryu will become Risant’s CEO.
