Beverly Malone
President and CEO, National League for Nursing
The clinician shortage has put the nursing pipeline in the spotlight, and Malone, who has helmed the organization for nursing education faculty and leaders since 2007, is well positioned to guide the conversation toward solutions. As a member of the steering committee of the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Decarbonizing the U.S. Health Sector, she has spoken out about nurses’ role in helping to address the climate crisis. She is currently vice chair of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement board of directors and former two-term president of the American Nurses Association. She served as deputy assistant secretary for health in the Clinton administration.
