As CEO of Walgreens, Brewer led the fight to bring COVID-19 vaccines to 75% of nursing homes in the U.S. Before the launch of her career at Walgreens, she was chief operating officer and group president at Starbucks and president and CEO of Sam’s Club, the membership-based division of Walmart. Previously, Brewer served in a number of management roles at Kimberly-Clark, beginning in 1984. She currently serves on the boards of Spelman College, VillageMD, World Business Chicago, the Business Roundtable and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
