Pittman heads a not-for-profit focused on leadership in creating healthy communities. She has led the fight for better public health through initiatives on COVID-19, substance use disorders and social inequities. An expert on Medicaid financing and safety-net systems, Pittman served on the Institute of Medicine’s Roundtable on Population Health Improvement, as well as the Healthy People 2030 advisory committee to HHS. She also serves on advisory boards to educational institutions, including UC Berkeley.
