Nordlund leads creation and adoption of innovations in consumer- and patient-centered technologies across Banner Health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he facilitated expanded use of telehealth visits, virtual waiting rooms, text-based appointment scheduling, alerts for test results, and a symptom tracker that included and information hotline and a directory of testing sites. He also led Banner’s first foray into membership-based care through Banner Beyond. To improve patient access to high-quality care even when away from home, Banner created a new membership-based model for those who travel frequently. Services include a dedicated clinic, access to wellness support and a primary-care physician network across the U.S., Canada and Europe.
