Throughout her career, Conger has been a champion for innovative solutions to problems facing the healthcare industry and the communities OSF HealthCare serves. The Catholic system operates 15 hospitals across Illinois and Michigan. Conger and her teams developed a long-term digital health strategy that was accelerated once the pandemic hit. Tools included Clare, an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot that serves as a first contact point for people with symptoms of COVID-19 or any other healthcare concern. Meanwhile, virtual visits connected patients via video or phone with an advanced practice provider. The program determined if an individual should be referred to a home-monitoring program for further care. That care continues through OSF OnCall Connect.
