Gin oversees a portfolio that includes coordination of the national clinical quality programs throughout Kaiser Permanente and collaborates with other leaders to implement processes and programs that advance care for more than 12.5 million members. The Kaiser quality teams Gin leads focus on improving the safety, effectiveness and equity of all service lines, including maternal care. Under her leadership, Kaiser transformed perinatal care during the COVID-19 pandemic through new approaches such as programs that provided pregnant women with devices such as blood pressure cuffs for frequent monitoring to help reduce complications of pregnancy. Other patients received the cuffs, scales and Doppler fetal monitors for use when some prenatal appointments were being conducted by video visit.
