Before his current role, Leggio served for 10 years at Lenox Hill Hospital, part of Northwell, as associate executive director, senior director of patient and customer experience as well as regional director of marketing and communications. Leggio transformed unit ward clerks into patient service facilitators and orchestrated the transition from reactive to proactive patient rounding. The result: Lenox Hill’s HCAHPS scores rose from the 12th percentile in 2016 to the 62nd percentile at the end of 2021.
