Copeland has made advancing equity a priority at Kaiser. Under his leadership, Kaiser strives to build a diverse and inclusive workplace through employee training programs and an annual workforce equity review process, along with developing Kaiser’s Equitable Care Health Outcomes as a component of quality improvement and convening a new Health Equity Advisory Council in 2021. He also played a major part in developing patient demographic data collection, enabling the identification and treatment of outcome disparities. He serves on the board of directors for the National Organization on Disability.
