Jacobs-Shaw has focused his career on advocating for vulnerable communities. At Belong Health, he has helped to build a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion through guiding recruiting practices and assisting with training for clinical teams on health equity. He also created Mental Health Connector, which helps overcome hurdles to behavioral healthcare for patients with comorbid conditions, and leads the onboarding of providers who operate under the ACO REACH value-based payment model. Before joining Belong Health in 2021, Jacobs-Shaw was a founding member of the LGBTQ+ task force at NYU Langone Health and was part of the leadership team at Oak Street Health.
