Pullin has implemented a people-first culture centered on understanding, respect and employee empowerment at Virtua Health. All of the health system’s senior management-level team members participate in training on unconscious bias, with those in hiring positions receiving education on diversity, equity and inclusion as a recruitment and growth strategy. Pullin also actively participates in Virtua’s employee affinity groups. Under Pullin’s leadership, Virtua has launched or expanded several programs addressing social determinants of health, such as its Eat Well initiative aimed at combating food insecurity and Pride Primary Care for LGBTQ community members and allies.
