Shaw has played a key role in shaping AdventhHealth’s vision and direction over the course of his 37 years there. He aims to provide whole-person care through AdventHealth’s 50 hospitals across nine states, along with its urgent care centers, home health, hospice, physician practices and skilled nursing facilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shaw positioned the system as a command center, setting up a hotline to offer help in understanding and treating the disease. Before being appointed president and CEO in 2016, Shaw held roles of executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operations officer at the organization.
