Lynch leads a diversified healthcare services company that includes a retail pharmacy with nearly 10,000 locations; 1,000 clinics; the Aetna health insurance arm and a pharmacy benefit manager. When CVS Health acquired Aetna for $70 billion in 2018, Lynch, who had been the insurer’s president, was named executive vice president of CVS Health. She was promoted to the top job in February 2021. Later that year, the company announced plans to shutter 900 pharmacies and focus on expanding health solutions, which included a telehealth platform and additional primary care services. In September, CVS publicized its intention to acquire home health provider Signify Health for $8 billion.
