Since her appointment in 2017, Conroy has overseen two major expansion projects at the academic health system, including a patient pavilion to open next spring at the system’s flagship Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the only Level 1 trauma center in New Hampshire. Dartmouth Health includes four other member hospitals, a home health agency, a cancer center, a children’s hospital and more than 24 clinics. It is affiliated with the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. As CEO, Conroy led the strategic rebranding of the organization, which coincided with the added challenges of navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023, Conroy will be chair-elect of the American Hospital Association, becoming chair in 2024.
