Dr. Steven Corwin
President and CEO, NewYork-Presbyterian
Corwin has served as CEO since 2011, nearly doubling the organization’s size under his leadership. NewYork-Presbyterian has 10 hospitals and more than 200 clinics. In 2020, with New York at the epicenter of the pandemic in the United States, 11,500 COVID-19 patients were admitted to the system’s hospitals. Corwin led a multi-pronged rapid response to the need for beds, staffing, equipment, disease management and community education by working with the system’s affiliate medical schools, Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His team also developed a suite of digital health services to increase care access. In late 2020, Corwin established the Dalio Center for Health Justice to address health equity issues facing the system’s communities.
