Kaiser and her leadership team were able to return SSM Health to profitability last summer after the health system ran into financial troubles during the early days of the pandemic. In August 2020, SSM partnered with public health and community groups to open a behavioral health urgent-care center. It offers early intervention, as well as helping patients with such issues as access to food, transportation and housing. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum, which works globally to advance the cause of women in leadership.
